Our discussion this week is about when game developers should pivot their studio. Sometimes games start to get stale so when should they either take a risk or return to the basics? This idea came from the recent releases of God of War taking a huge risk with their new game and Octopath Traveler scrapping most of their modern day RPG tropes for more traditional turn-based combat. It's been successful for both of them but who else needs to follow suit?
